The short version
This site sets no cookies at all unless you press "Allow" on the bar at the bottom of the page. If you press "No thanks", or ignore it, nothing is stored on your device and nothing is read from it.
What runs before you choose
These are on from the start, and none of them touch your device:

Because none of this stores or reads information on your device, it falls outside art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, which is the rule that makes cookie banners necessary. We still tell you about it here, and you can still object — see the Privacy Policy.

Clarity records an anonymised replay of how you moved and clicked, so we can see where the page confuses people. It has no cookieless mode, which is why it sits behind a choice.
Technical storage that is not a cookie
We keep two things in your browser's session storage — cleared the moment you close the tab: the referral code you arrived with, and your waitlist position so the thank-you page can show it. These are strictly necessary to make the thing you asked for work, and are exempt from the consent requirement. If your browser blocks storage — as the TikTok and Instagram in-app browsers sometimes do — the site falls back to memory and still works.
Changing your mind
Press Cookie settings in the footer of any page to bring the bar back and change your answer. To remove cookies already set, clear them in your browser settings — Clarity's own opt-out is at Microsoft's privacy statement.
Blocking cookies entirely
Every browser lets you refuse cookies. This site is built to work perfectly well without them — nothing here breaks if you block everything.
